Information released on Holmes County fire

ESTO – Information has been provided on an Oct. 8 fire that destroyed a home on Selma Church Road. Information was provided by Chief Charles Corcoran of the Esto Volunteer Fire Department.

Corcoran reported that Esto VFD received that call at 12:51 p.m. from Holmes County dispatch, with Bonifay Fire and Rescue and Graceville and Jackson County fire departments also being called out.

Corcoran reported that that back porch of the home at 1159 Selma Church Road owned by Charlene and Michael Miller was on fire. Corcoramn reported that the fire spread to the kitchen and living room area and was extinguished the various departments.

One Esto firefighter was taken to Graceville-Campbellton Hospital and was treated for exhaustion.
