The past several months the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Highway Patrol Contraband Interdiction Team, and the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office have been diligently working a covert undercover drug investigation involving a large scale methamphetamine trafficking organization that supplies Holmes County, Geneva County and surrounding areas.  This organization also has ties to the Mexican drug cartels which are a source in which methamphetamine is being distributed in this area.

I am disgusted for the simple fact, that all you hear about in law enforcement is the crack down on meth. However, here in Holmes County they only arrest who they want to and then they make a trade with them and let them back out. Here in Holmes County, you will serve longer in jail for driving while on a suspended or revoked license then you will serve for drug related charges. What the heck is wrong with that picture?

Why hasn't anything been said about Rodney and his cousin breaking and entering and being arrested operating a meth lab? Not to mention fleeing and alluding. I know why. Because his brother is the new football coach at HCHS and you do not want Rodney Martin in the paper to shame his brother. Report it fairly Jay.

The reason these people get probation and get back on the street is because probation is a money maker. They have to pay for the probation, and the monthly drug test. Just think about all the money the state and the county is making off of probation. They want to keep them on it as long as they can for the revenue. They also get to bust them again while they are on the street and that brings in even more money from more fines and adding time to their probation. It's all about money!

Connie you were warned what terry was doing and that rodney is doing it also. Now you have your son right in the middle of the whole mess. Maybe all three of them can share a prison cell and take turns dropping the soap.

one of the reason's they get out with just a slap is because they are used as snitches to catch more thugs.

Yea, you're right, they ALL end up back on the streets to do it all again and again and again. It's sad but true. I guess when one of them hurts or possibly kills a child they might get what they deserve, maybe. There are so many messed up kids in the world today because of these thugs. I hate meth and the affects and don't mind telling you that I do. It took my son from me years ago!

That is so true "had enough." I read the arrests column and cannot believe how the same people appear in it again and again for manufacturing, possession, and/or trafficking. I wonder how the heck they are getting back out on the streets to commit new offenses. I really hope if I ever make the poor choice to begin using drugs, I am still living here in Holmes County so I won't have to worry about going to prison. I can just stay a few days at the jail house and return home where it will be business as usual.
