BONIFAY — A DeFuniak Springs man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop by a Holmes County deputy, according to a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Nicholas Earl Jimmerson, 32, of DeFuniak Springs was arrested in connection with charges of possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) on the morning of Feb. 8.
According to the release, a Holmes County deputy on patrol in the Prosperity Community observed a Chevrolet Blazer driving recklessly. The deputy stopped the Chevrolet, driven by Jimmerson. During the stop, the deputy obtained consent to search the Blazer. During the search, a bag of methamphetamine was discovered, according to the sheriff’s office release.
Jimmerson was arrested and taken to the Holmes County Jail to await his court appearance.
