CHIPLEY — Police arrested a Walmart employee on charges of grand theft on Monday, Feb. 11, for allegedly stealing from the store, according to a news release from the Chipley Police Department.

Morgan Mallory Faith Huckstep, 24, was arrested and charged with grand theft. Huckstep lists her address as Sideline Boulevard in Bonifay, according to police.

In late January, officers with the Chipley Police Department began an investigation involving an internal theft at the Walmart Supercenter.

Officers worked with the store’s loss prevention employee to determine that Huckstep had been stealing from the store over the course of a few months.

During an interview, Hucksetp admitted to Chipley Police that while she was working at Walmart, she had been stealing from the store for approximately five months, according to police.

Police say Huckstep stole hundreds of dollars of stolen merchandise.
