CHIPLEY — A Vernon man was arrested in connection with drug charges on March 8, according to a news release from the Chipley Police Department.
Zachary Glenn Matthews, 20, of Vernon was arrested in connection with charges of possessing of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Police received information regarding the possible production of methamphetamine at a Chipley residence, according to the release, and members of the Washington County Drug Task Force, which consists of the Chipley Police and Washington County Sheriff's Office, conducted a search of the home at 762 Pecan Street. Task Force members were given consent to search the residence.
Officers also found several "Shake and Bake" bottles used in the production of methamphetamine, according to the release.
Matthews was taken to the Washington County Jail.
