UPDATED 11:13 a.m.: WCSO assisting in manhunt after attempted kidnapping

UPDATE:  Fugitive Randall Ralph Holley has been apprehended near the end of Vinson Road near Ebro. According to preliminary reports, both Holley and a law enforcement officer received minor injuries in a scuffle which occured during the arrest. Holley was reportedly shot in the leg and ran through a plate glass window. Check back for more updates.

ORGINAL STORY:

A fugitive who attempted to kidnap a 4-year-old Washington County child was shot by one of the child's family members and is now believed to be armed and hiding in a wooded area along Vinson Road near Ebro, according to the US Marshals' office. 

Randall Ralph Holley, 39, is wanted by Bay County, Washington County and Escambia county on multiple charges including grand theft and aggravated battery, officials said. 

The search for Holley in Bay County began after the Washington County incident Wednesday. Officers searched wooded areas for several hours Wednesday but were not able to apprehend him. The search began again Thursday morning and is ongoing, officials said.
