VERNON - It's been seven years since popular Washington County teen Britney Wright disappeared from her Vernon home, but her family hasn't given up looking for answers.

A gathering of family and friends gathered in Vernon to mark what would have been Wright's 26th birthday last Friday, Feb. 28. Amid an emotional candlelight vigil, prayers and hymns, her mother, Kim Wright, issued a plea.

"Someone knows something," said Wright. "We feel like we know who's involved and want them to do the right thing. Maybe something happened (to Britney) by accident, and they panicked, but it's time they came forward."
