ESTO - Holmes County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Paul Robert Mansfield, 50, on charges of criminal mischief, reckless driving and resisting arrest without violence on July 23.

According to the report, Holmes County dispatch received a call about shots fired in the Esto Community and when Deputies made contact with witnesses they were told the subject was shooting at another vehicle.

Deputies came in contact with two subjects from a Bail Bond Agency from Alabama who were attempting to apprehend Mansfield on a bond revocation.

The incident began in Black, Alabama and continued on into Holmes County where Mansfield fled in his vehicle from the Bond Agency, encountered law enforcement in the area of County Road 177A and law enforcement began to attempt to overtake the vehicle, according to the report.

Mansfield then ran the vehicle through a chain link fence and the yard of a resident, causing damage to the resident's property. He then fled on foot where other deputies and Holmes County Correctional Institute K-9 Unit responded and apprehended Mansfield a short time later.

Mansfield was arrested and booked into the Holmes County Jail.
