“May God Bless the Holmes County school system and God Bless Holmes County,” said Register.

Scott also gave a farewell.

“I appreciate the folks at the schools for all their hard work and making this such a great place to work for,” said Scott. “I thank my family and I thank God for the strength, wisdom and Grace to take on the many challenges we have faced over the years.”

During the hearing of the public, resident and bus driver Jay Marsh approached the school board.

“I haul 55 to 60 children every day,” said Marsh. “Now I’ve got two 3-year-olds taking up four seats with car seats and I have to leave my seat to tend to these children, which one messed his diaper this morning. I don’t think 3-year-olds should be on a normal bus.”

He explained that in bus procedure that if he leaves his seat he has to turn off the bus and pocket his key, however the authorities over him prefer him not to leave his seat because if he leaves his seat, having had turned off the bus, then the cameras would also turn off and that creates liabilities.

“Unfortunately we’re living in times where this is more likely going to be happening more often,” said Motley.
