Their daughter, Jordan, is active in the Holmes County 4-H and assisted in growing and marketing her first crop of watermelons in 2012, he said.

“Jeremy is a member of the Florida Peanut Producer’s Association and the family is a member of the Ponce De Leon FFA Alumni Association,” said Eubanks. “Jeremy and Teresa both work fulltime jobs off the farm and Jeremy is employed as an Investigator for the State of Florida and Teresa is a 3rd grade teacher at Ponce de Leon Elementary. Jordan is a sixth grader at Ponce de Leon High School.”

Eubanks said that the family may be young, but “it will be the young that carries on the future crops of tomorrow.”

Also recognized were this year’s Conservation Farm Family of 2013, the Sherrouse family and 2013 Forest Stewardship Award, which went to the Paramore family.
