WAUSAU — There was a reception Thursday during the Wausau Town Council meeting for outgoing council members, Mayor Roger Hagan and Mayor Pro-Tem Gail Culbreth, and both were presented with plaques for their service to the community.

“We’ve appreciated your 24 years of service,” Councilman Dallas Carter told Hagan. “You’ve really been a good one.”

Hagan thanked the council for the recognition, and welcomed the new council members and wished them well in their time on the town council.

“We not only endured it, but we enjoyed it,” Hagan said of his time serving the town of Wausau. “I was born and raised here, and if I was able to give back even a fraction of what the town has given me over the years, then I think I have accomplished something good.”
