Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church of Holmes County held a dedication service recently for the Veterans Memorial Monument for our fallen heroes that have served and are still serving today in our Military Forces.

The ceremony was held Sept. 29 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, where the monument is located,

"Words cannot express the gratitude that we feel as the people of this One Great Nation under God, to know that you all have fought for our Freedom all the years and continue to do so every day. Thank you all for what you do to keep us safe and free," church officials said in a news release.

The program began with brother Dale Paul having prayer for all who have served and who are still serving today. Danielle Paul , playing “America the Beautiful” on the Clarinet, Pam Paul-Brackin, singing the “Star Spangled Banner, while Glen Gillman and Larry Paul raised the American Flag and Rebekah Paul played a recording of “Amazing Grace" being played on bag-pipe.

"We would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Lolley of Lolley Monument and Vault Co. in Samson, Ala., for helping resurrect this Veterans Memorial Monument," official said.
