A Santa Rosa County woman was killed in a one vehicle crash that occurred in the Holmes County jurisdiction of Interstate 10 around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23.
According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Rebekah A. Easter, 48, of Milton, Fla. was traveling westbound on Interstate 10 when her 2004 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the westbound emergency stopping lane and began to rotate in a clockwise direction as it entered the westbound outside grass shoulder.
The left front of Easter’s truck struck a pine tree as it entered the tree line and continued to travel westbound. The vehicle’s right side then collided with a large oak tree, bringing the truck to rest against the tree, facing west.

Easter was transported to Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, where she succumbed to injuries
sustained in the crash.
