The council members thanked Brooks for his concern and participation.

City Attorney Lucas Taylor updated the council on their recent lawsuit with the owner of the old truck stop on State Road 90 in regards to an easement with a water line.

Taylor advised that as long as the water line wasn’t in use and was cut off from the main line, then the council should perform a quick claim deed back to the owner and back out of the case. The council approved of doing so.

Council also approved of cancelling the meeting on Monday, Dec. 24 due to it being Christmas Eve. The next regularly scheduled meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the Bonifay City Hall.
