Four arrested on drug charges by Task Force

CHIPLEY — Four Washington County men were arrested over the weekend by members of the county Drug Task Force, following the execution of a search warrant, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Arrested were:

Olajuwon Azabram Thompson, 19, of Vernon on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana;

Arthur Clyo Brown, 61, of Vernon on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, possession of weapon by convicted felon, possession of weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a place of worship, and possession of marijuana;

Dextrel Pontez Peterson, 26, of Ebro on a charge of possession of marijuana;

Steverson Bernard Brown, 47, of Vernon on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, possession of weapon by convicted felon, possession of weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a place of worship, possession of marijuana.

The warrant was executed at 5677 Highway 79 in south Washington County by the Washington County Drug Task Force, consisting of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Chipley Police Department and federal agencies.
