FDOT to hold public information meeting on State Road 77 Multilane Project

Chipley – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public information meeting concerning proposed improvements on State Road 77 from north of the Wausau city limits to County Road 276 (Clayton Road) in Washington County.  The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CDT at the Washington County Recycling Center, 3115 State Road 77, Chipley. 

The intent of the project is to widen 3.6 miles of the existing roadway from two to four lanes, design new parallel bridges at Hard Labor Creek and Flat Creek, improve drainage, and construct various safety upgrades.  The project is funded for right-of-way acquisition and construction.  

Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display.  There will be no formal presentation.  Representatives from FDOT will be available to explain proposed improvements and answer questions. 

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
