MARIANNA — Covenant Hospice will be offering a new volunteer orientation for individuals who are interested in providing administrative, development, or outreach support for the organization from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Covenant Hospice, located at 4215 Kelson Avenue, Suite E, in Marianna.  The orientation class is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be provided.

Covenant volunteers come from many different backgrounds, ranging from retired persons, to working professionals, active military personnel, high school and college students.  Persons that have experienced the loss of a loved one understand what families have gone through and make and wonderful bereavement volunteers.

Volunteers from our communities help to garden, clean yards, make simple home repairs, build ramps, sew, crochet, cook and bake. Retired and working professionals are also needed to share their expertise and experience.  Time commitment is flexible and based on volunteer availability. Over 2,600 individuals have chosen Covenant Hospice to volunteer their time and talent. To register or to learn more, call Donna Meldon at 850-482-8520; or, via email at donna.meldon@covenanthospice.org.
