CHIPLEY - Washington County's courthouse committee is expected to recommend Justice Reference Architecture (JRA) of Panama City as their number one choice to lead architectural plans for the building of the new county courthouse. Coming in second is Clemons Rutherford & Associate Inc. (CRA) of Tallahassee, and third on their list is Hatch Mott MacDonald, which is based in Panama City but also has a Chipley office.
The decision was made after an all-day session today, July 18, after the committee heard proposals from more than ten interested firms.
Commissioners will hear the ranked recommendations when they meet in regular session at 9 a.m. Thursday, 24, in the county annex. While the courthouse committee conducted the interviews, commissioners will have the final say on which firm is selected. As always, this meeting is open to the public.
