Chipley Police seeking fugitive

CHIPLEY — Chipley Police Department is looking for a Chipley man who fled officers on foot after police attempted to stop his vehicle on Tuesday, Feb. 5, according to a news release.

When Chipley Police officers attempted to stop a beige Buick on Highway 77 in north Chipley, the driver, Johnathon Jerone Pryor, 23, fled from the officers. Police officers gave chase, but Pryor made it to Regan Lane where he jumped out of the vehicle while the car was still in drive and fled on foot, according to the release.

Officers found several bags of marijuana in Pryor’s vehicle, according to the release. Officers also found scales and Pryor’s Florida identification card in the Buick.

Chipley Police now have warrants for the arrest of Pryor, whose last known address is 471 Regan Lane in Chipley.

Pryor is currently wanted for possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, flee and elude law enforcement officer, and driving while license suspended or revoked.
