CHIPLEY — A Pace man was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on April 27, according to a Chipley Police Department news release.
James Louis Huie, 52, of Pace, was arrested in connection with charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers conducted a traffic stop of a Chevrolet Silverado following a traffic violation. Duringthe traffic stop, officers noticedHuie's unusual body language and some discrepancies in his account of events leading up to the traffic stop, according to the release.
Huie agreed to let officers search his pickup, and police founddrug paraphernalia concealed in the truck, according to police.
Once the search was completed,Huie was notified of the discovery. After receiving his Miranda warning, Huie told policethat the paraphernalia was his and saidhe may have some methamphetamine in his wallet, according to police.
Officers searched Huie's wallet and discovered an amount of methamphetamine in a small plastic bag.
James Huie was taken to the Washington County Jail.
