CHIPLEY — The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Economic Development Symposium from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the Panhandle Area Education Consortium at 753 West Blvd. in Chipley.
The Symposium will provide insight into how economic development works, from the site selection requirements and education needs of the workforce to transportation essentials of any company wishing to do business in Washington County. It is the first in a series of economic development workshops, and presenters include a who's who in state and area economic development experts.
The seminar is open to local elected officials and Chamber members. Seating is limited and anyone interested in attending must contact the Chamber at 638-4157 by 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, to reserve seating.
