Parrish fled the scene on foot, once the Chevrolet was stopped, police said. The passenger exited the vehicle and surrendered to deputies on scene.

K9 Units with Apalachee Correctional Institute and Jackson Correctional Institute were called to assist in locating Parrish. Parrish was tracked to a residence nearby and was located in the yard. Parrish resisted arrest with violence, but was subdued and taken into custody by deputies with Jackson County Sheriff's Office, according to police.

Additional charges against Parrish are pending from Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
