HC Chamber celebrates annual banquet, presents honors
BONIFAY – The Holmes County Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet Thursday night at the Bonifay National Guard Armory. The Chamber honored Bonifay Nursing and Rehab Center as Business of the Year and Carlton Tredwell as Volunteer of the Year.
BNRC was represented by Administrator Nancy Hall. BNRC was opened in 1983 and has grown from 60 beds to 180 beds. Hall praised her staff for its hard work in winning the award.
“We have a great staff and families,” Hall said. “It takes a very unique person to work there day by day.
Hall said the job of the staff is, in effect, to help the residents enjoy normal lives. “We want to return them to a normal life and to the community,” she said.
Treadwell was introduced by his business partner at AUS Manufacturing, James Sellers. Tredwell has been involved in a number of businesses, including recently AUS, Dixie Wood and others. He has served as a board member of the Holmes County Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board, West Florida Regional Planning Council and others. Tredwell is chairman of the Holmes County Planning Commission and has been involved in numerous volunteer civic efforts.
Dinner was prepared and served by the Bethlehem Culinary Academy, a class that now has 76 students at Bethlehem High School. Entertainment was provided by Rock-n-Company and Rendezvous.
