Weather update - Washington County Road Closures

Power lines were reported down on Clayton Road...Chipley VFD responded and Gulf Power workers are on the scene..
Official rain fall in Washington County 2.83 inches as of 7:30 a.m., although citizens reported up to 5 inches in rain gauges
No roads closed yet but water on Ledger Road in the county and water at State 77 and Glenwood Road in Chipley
According to the National Weather Service the river at Caryville will hit flood stage of 12 feet at about midnight and will crest at about 15.5 at 1-2 a.m. Saturday
The river at Ebro was 9.25 feet at 6 a.m. and no other forecast provided...flood stage is 13 feet there
Radar shows storm system moving through by noon or so.
Schools remain open in Holmes and Washington counties.
Walton County Weather Damage Report from Sheriff's Office
At this time, there have been “no” reports of injuries, or structural damage due to the frontal system in advance of a cold front moving in from the west. Beginning around 6:15 this morning, Walton County’s Emergency Operation’s Center has received calls on several minor issues.
A tree across the road on Walton County Road 181, about two miles East of Highway 83 north of DeFuniak Springs. In addition, a downed tree caused several traffic delays on Forest Shore Drive in the San Destin area in South Walton County.
Early this morning, there were reportedly two places under water near the intersection of State Highway 2 and U.S. 331, a few miles south of Paxton. The Walton County EOC reports that all the aforementioned issues have been handled, and county work crews continue to monitor the roads and bridges looking for any obstructions, or damage.
