Hundreds enjoy Easter in Prosperity

Hundreds of children and family members enjoyed Easter Saturday as they took part in a massive Easter egg hunt at D.D. Eldridge Memorial Park in Prosperity in Holmes County

West Pittman Baptist Church, Hickory Hill Baptist Church and Leonia Baptist Church sponsored the event, with thousands of Easter eggs and hundreds of eager children. The eggs were found very quickly. There were also bicycles and other prizes donated by the sponsor churches.

It was also an opportunity for the public to see the park, which is being completed to provide recreation to Holmes County residents and visitors. The huge park offers lots of playground equipment, several ballfields, a walking trail, and covered picnic areas
