Walton County drug arrests

A wanted drug felon from Southeast, Alabama is arrested on similar charges in Walton County.  Following a tip, Walton County Sheriff’s narcotic investigators arrested Charles James Rhodes at a Live Oak Street residence in Choctaw Beach, according to a news release from Walton County Sheriff's Office.

The 30-year-old DeFuniak Springs man was located hiding in a cabinet underneath the bathroom sink on Wednesday night.  He faces two-counts of possession listed chemicals for the manufacture of a controlled substance; one count of possessing narcotic equipment; and one count of a convicted felon in possession of a weapon.  He is also wanted for violation of probation on unlawful drug manufacturing charges from earlier this year in Covington County, Alabama.

Singletary faces two-counts of possession of chemicals used in the manufacture of a controlled substance, and possession of narcotic equipment.

Singletary’s $5,000 bond has been revoked, and is being held at the Walton County Jail.  Rhodes is behind bars without bond for Covington County to extradite him back to Alabama.
