One injured in Brickyard Road wreck

A local woman was injured Thursday afternoon in a wreck on Brickyard Road just in front of the Washington County Jail.

Miranda Peters said she was turning into the jail from the west in a white Lincoln Continental and was hit on the passenger side by a pickup truck driven by Stuart Hadden of Cottondale. Peters' passenger, Randi Roberts, was extricated from the Continental by Chipley Fire and Rescue using the "jaws of life" and other tools. She was taken to Northwest Florida Community Hospital by Washington County EMS for treatment.

Washington County Sheriff's Office and Florida Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
