Family of five loses home in Cottondale

Jackson County Red Cross Disaster Action Team members responded at 3:30 am Sunday morning to a fire at 2226 Bethelem Road in Cottondale.  The fire destroyed a mobile home occupied by Trent and Amy Broome and their three children.  The Red Cross is providing assistance to meet the families' immediate needs for clothing, food and shelter.

The Central Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross is not a government agency and receives no government funding.  Assistance to local disaster victims is made possible by local contributions.  If you would like to help local disaster victims please call the Red Cross at 850-763-6587 or go to www.redcrosscpc.org.
