One arrested on drug charges
The Chipley Police Chief Kevin Crews was busy investigating a Sexual Battery case in Chipley on Tuesday, when he observed Timothy Allen Taylor of Hard Labor Creek Road, Wausau, FL, commit a traffic infraction. Chief Crews then stopped Taylor and further investigation revealed that Taylor’s drivers license was suspended. During a search of Taylor’s vehicle, Crews found two syringes, one empty and the other full of methamphetamines. Taylor was then arrested by Crews and charged with Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Crews states that the Police Dept. is experiencing more and more cases like these. “We are finding syringes and needle marks on people almost daily due to methamphetamine use.” Crews goes on to say that the Methamphetamine epidemic has been here for a while and continues to be a serious threat to our communities.
