Roadside Safety Checkpoint on Friday night

The Marianna office of the Florida Highway Patrol will be conducting a Roadside Safety Checkpoint on Friday night, July 11, 2008. The checkpoint will be held in Washington County, on SR-77, approximately 1 mile north of Wausau. It will begin at 8:30 p.m. and will conclude at 2:00 a.m., on July 12, 2008.

Commuters are reminded to be attentive and to abide by signage in this area and some minor congestion is possible.

Commuters are also reminded to utilize their occupant restraint systems and to not drink and drive.
