Growth, revenues nets NFCH recognition

The hospital was founded in 1951 and has 212 employees. NFCH ranks 243 in the health industry list, according to the magazine.

NFCH is a 59-bed health care facility that includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, a 34-bed long-term care facility, and a home health agency. If offers a wide range of services, including family medicine, surgery, podiatry, cardiology, sleep studies, counseling, and lab services.

Businesses making the list have to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of Dec. 31 of the last year measured. Revenue in the initial year must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in the most recent year must have been at least $2 million.

The Inc. 500 is an annual list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., introduced in 1982. The Inc. 5000 is an expansion of the Inc. 500, which ranks the country’s top 5000 fastest-growing, private companies and also features a special ranking of the top 10 percent of the list as the Inc. 500.

“That achievement could not have been possible without the contributions made by our outstanding and dedicated boards, medical staff, 270 employees, the Washington County Chamber, and a very supportive community,” he said.

“In short as a small rural hospital we have been blessed and will be forever grateful for that,” Schlenker said. “It’s definitely another great day in Washington County where thousands live like millions wish they could.”
