No injuries in bus wreck
There were no injuries in a school bus wreck Monday afternoon in Holmes County.
Florida Highway Patrol reported that at about 3:05 p.m. a 2002 Holmes County school bus driven by David Byrd, 49, of Westville was coming through the intersection of Valee Road and Mill Road when it was struck by a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Janice Tetlow, 18, of Ponce deLeon. Tetlow apparently did not see the bus according to the FHP report.
The Explorer struck the left rear tandem tires and then the left side of the bus. Neither driver nor any of the approximately 25 school children on board the bus were injured.
Tetlow was charged with careless driving, failure to exhibit drivers license upon request and no registration.

| Why does that prove that the DL age should be 18? Did you miss the part where it states the girl IS 18? All this proves is that there are careless, inattentive drivers, of all ages, out there. Luckily there were no injuries. |
