Storm damage across area

On Sunday, June 29 at 4:20 p.m. a large tree fell across 5th Street between the Old Bonifay Road and Coggin Avenue, snapping power and cable lines. Power lines were on Coggin and 5th streets. Chipley City Police, Fire Department, Public Works worked the scene, and Gulf Power restored power a little after 8 p.m

Other damage in Washington County during last week's storms included:

•Power lines down on Brickyard Road

•Tree down on Falling Waters Road

•Tree down on Glass Road

•Various damage around Vernon and Greenhead

 

Holmes County reports include

•Trees on a trailer in west Holmes County but no damage

•Trees down along State 81

•Tree and power lines down on Happy Hollow Road outside of Bonifay

•Storefront blown out of vacant building on Waukesha Street
