CHIPLEY - A man and woman will spend time together - at the same jail - after allegedly burglarizing a home.

Brett Allen Thomas, 34, of Wausau, and Jennifer Claborn, 36, of Chipley, were arrested Thursday, July 5, after allegedly breaking into a residence on Southern Way.

No  one was at the house during the time of the crime, however, a person called law enforcement after he or she reportedly arrived at the residence and heard voices coming from inside of the home, a Washington County Sheriff's Office news release stated.

WCSO deputy arrived on the scene about 2:45 p.m.

As the deputy began clearing the property, he noticed Thomas and Claborn running into woods and the back screen door swing shut, the release stated. The duo was apprehended.

Both Claborn and Thomas were taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Washington County Jail on the charges of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and trespassing, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
