BETHLEHEM - The Bethlehem High School Student Government and Principal Brent Jones announce plans for BHS Homecoming Week, January 22-26.
The theme this year is, "BHS Homecoming 2018: Friday Night Cat Fight!" as the Wildcats will take on the Central Jaguars in the Homecoming basketball games, which will tip off with the Varsity Girls’ Basketball team playing at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 26. Alumni recognition will follow the girls’ game with the Varsity Boys’ Basketball team playing after at 7 p.m.
Prior to the girls’ game, the Homecoming Court will be recognized, and the 2018 Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned. Representing their classes on the court are Gabe Smith and Audrey Sellers, sixth grade; Landen Williams and Haleigha Mason, seventh grade; Isaac Boatwright and Kaylin Rogers, eighth grade; Kurtis Lohman and Hannah Faircloth, freshman class; Dane Purvee, Isabella Watford, Bryce Kelly and Chloe Yarbrough, sophomore class; Seth Johnson, Haley Mitchell, Blake Pettis, Ivy Tindell, Ethan Boatwright, and Morgan Bellville, junior class.
The 2018 Homecoming King nominees are Dillon Lee, Blake Smith, Kross Smith, and Jake Zauner. Queen nominees are Katelyn Elrod, Daya Jackson, Jaycelyn Merchant, and Abagail Watford.
A special invitation to attend and be recognized after the girls’ basketball game is extended to the BHS graduating classes of 1938, 1948, 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988, 1998 and 2008. Throughout the week, students will show their school spirit by participating in dress-up days and competing in Gimmicks and Games. A Pep-Rally will be held on Friday morning.
