Polar Bear Express

BRISTOL - Veterans Memorial Railroad will host The Polar Bear Express Sunday, December 10, Thursday, December 14 through Sunday, December 17 and Thursday, December 21 through Saturday, December 23. The Steam Train will be available on Friday, December 8, Saturday, December 9, Friday December 15, Saturday, December 16, Friday, December 22 and Saturday, December 23. Train depart from Tom Keenan Depot between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the non-steam train and $15 for the steam train. 'A Classic Chipley Christmas'

CHIPLEY - Start your Christmas Season with the Spanish Trail Playhouse. "A Classic Chipley Christmas" will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Bonifay Christmas Celebration

BONIFAY - The annual City of Bonifay Christmas Celebration in the Park will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in Veterans’ Memorial Park. As is tradition, children and others in attendance can visit Santa and enjoy hotdogs and hot chocolate provided by the Bonifay Fire Department.

 

Vernon Christmas Parade

VERNON - The annual Vernon Christmas Parade will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 9. Line-up will begin at 1 p.m. The parade will start and finish at the track behind Vernon City Hall, located at 2808 Yellow Jacket Drive in Vernon.

 

Town of Wausau Christmas Parade

WAUSAU - The Town of Wausau and the Wausau Volunteer Fire Department will host a Christmas parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 9, in downtown Wausau. Santa will be at the Possum Palace after the parade to greet the children. Refreshments will be provided. Anyone wishing to be in the parade is asked to contact Margaret at Town Hall at 850-638-1781.

 

Christmas All Over the World

BONIFAY - The Music and Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church of Bonifay will present "Christmas All Over the World" at 7 p.m. Friday, December 8 and at 6 p.m. Sunday, December 10. The program will feature various choirs ensembles and instrumentalists. The ministry is working in conjunction the the Grady Chitty Toy Run sponsored by the First Baptist of Bonifay Faith Riders to collect toys for the Guardian Ad Litem Program in Washington and Holmes County. New unwrapped toys will be collected during both performance to donate to the Guardian Ad Litem Program. The church will provide child care during both performances.

 

Polar Express Pajama Party

CHIPLEY - The Washington County Library Chipley Branch will host The Polar Express Pajama Party at 3:30 p.m. Monday, December 11. There will be cookies and cocoa for participants. The library is located at 1444 Jackson Avenue. For more information call 850-638--1314.

 

Christmas Auction at VMS

VERNON - The Vernon Middle School AVID program will host a silent auction at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 12 in the VMS cafeteria. Items will include gift certificates, fishing supplies, gift baskets, hunting supplies and more. All proceeds from the auction will benefit VMS children and families in need at Christmas.

 

'Christmas in Candy Land'

CHIPLEY - Washington County Council on Aging will host "Christmas in Candy Land," the council's annual Christmas Luncheon, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 12. This event will feature special guest Neysa Semmler as well as a meal for all those attending. All Washington County seniors age 60 or older are invited to attend. Morning Star Christmas Cantata at Chipley FUMC
