CHIPLEY – Several ordinances were presented for readings when the Chipley City Council met in workshop December 7.

An ordinance regarding the prohibition of tobacco products being given as samples at any city event will have its final reading held at the December 12 regular session meeting of the council. The measure is expected to be approved when the council meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12

Other ordinances pertaining to code enforcement, real estate sales, and oversized vehicle parking at private residences will also have first readings at the same meeting.

The council is also expected on Tuesday to award a bid for the Community Redevelopment Agency alleyway project, as well as recognize the Chipley Pee-Wee and Mites football team for their respective Youth Super Bowl championships and give awards for the top float entries in the Chipley Christmas Fest parade.
