WAUSAU –A new community building and fire department were at the top of the discussion list when Wausau Town Council met in regular session October 12.

The building would be similar to that of the Orange Hill Fire Department and Community Center. Wausau Fire Department was tasked with figuring how much space would be needed to house their five fire trucks and all of their equipment. Engineer Cliff Knauer has drawn up preliminary plans for the site and is expected to be at next month’s meeting to give a cost estimate for the project.

In other items, Wausau will have door to door trick or treating on October 28 from 5-7 p.m. The fire department will be hosting a haunted house the same night from 7-9 p.m. right next to the fire department.

Trunk or Treat will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on October 31 at the Possum Palace.

Wausau Town Council will meet again in regular session at 6 p.m. on November 9.
