WAUSAU – Wausau Town Council approved its FY 2017-18 budget Thursday during a special meeting.
In an unanimous vote, the Council approved its $485,390 budget for FY 2017-18 in special session, held at Town Hall, 1607 2nd Ave. At about $185,300, the town's largest revenue is expected to come from water department fee collections.
In other business, the Council unanimously approved a motion to hire legal services from firm Fuqua, Milton and Carter Law Firm.
Also, the Council approved an agreement with Washington County Board of Commissioners in in-kind services, from which the county will lay milled asphalt from Pioneer Road to George Martin Park in exchange for three surplus pipes the town had left over from a recent park project.
Wausau Town Council will meet 6 p.m. Oct. 12 in regular session at Town Hall, 1607 2nd Ave.
