First Friday Fish Fry

BONIFAY - Knights of Columbus Council 10513 is hosting a Fish Fry from 4 to 7 p.m. on the first Friday of each month at the Blessed Trinity Parish Center. "All You Can Eat" cost is $10 with carry-out costing $7. Meal includes both catfish fish and white - either baked or fried - and sides. Fifth Saturday Sing at East Mt. Zion

BONIFAY - East Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will host a Fifth Saturday Night Sing at 6 p.m., Saturday, September 30. The special singers will be a trio from Bethel Baptist Church, comprised of Margaret Watford, Karen Mattox, and Angie Bell and the daughter of a former Pastor, Amy (Whiddon) West and her husband, Keith. Youth Challenge at Unity Baptist

VERNON - Unity Baptist Church will hold a challenge for local youth from October through December. Those attending ten of the 14 Sundays and five Wednesday services will be given prizes and a trip to either Wild Adventures or SeaWorld. The youth group will ultimately decide which trip to take. The Mike Speck Trio

BONIFAY - The Mike Speck Trio will join the First Baptist Bonifay Adult Choir for an evening of music featuring several of his arrangements at 6 p.m. Sunday, October 8 as the church presents its Fall Worship event. Mike Speck is an award winning choral arranger, having arranged and compiled 27 different choral collections regularly used by thousands of churches in worship services. Fall Festival & Chili Cook-off at Salem FWB Church

COTTONDALE - Salem Free Will Baptist Church will host the annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, October 14. The community is invited to come to this free event, enjoy different displays of chili, and select a favorite. Also enjoy hotdogs with all the trimmings, popcorn, and boiled peanuts. 10th annual 'Sale on the Circle'

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS - St. Agatha’s Episcopal Church in DeFuniak Springs will host the 10th annual Sale on the Circle from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, October 14. The event will take place on Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs. In addition to enjoying a fall day in Historic DeFuniak Springs, buyers may be able to find bargains among the furniture, antiques, knick-knacks, crafts and yard sale items that are offered by vendors.
