Fall Festival at St. Matthews Episcopal Church
CHIPLEY - Matthews Episcopal Church in Chipley announces the annual Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, October 7. This free event is open to children of all ages and will feature games, crafts, lunch, and Bible lessons. St. Matthews Episcopal Church is located on Highway 90 in Chipley.
Esto Fall Festival
ESTO - The Town of Esto will host a Fall Festival from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 14, at John Clark Park. This community event will feature games, candy, popcorn, mazes, and crafts. Fall Festival & Chili Cook-off at Salem FWB Church
COTTONDALE - Salem Free Will Baptist Church will host the annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, October 14. The community is invited to come to this free event, enjoy different displays of chili, and select a favorite. Also enjoy hotdogs with all the trimmings, popcorn, and boiled peanuts. Bring the kids for lots of games and prizes for all ages. There will be a cake walk, a craft table, a hayride, egg and spoon races, inflatables, Face painting and much more. Donations accepted and will go to the Youth Ministry Program. The church is located at 2555 Kynesville Highway in Cottondale.
'Ghost Train' at Bristol's Veterans Memorial Park
BRISTOL - Veterans Memorial Railroad will host the annual "Ghost Train" at the Tom Keenan Depot in Veterans Memorial Park from 7-10 p.m. EST on October 20, 21, 27, 28, and 31. Are you prepared for a frightful ride through the woods to greet witches, pirates, dinosaurs, walking dead? Are you ready to enter the tunnels of creatures unknown, visiting the Twilight Zone and a Western Ghost Town from the past? If you are brave enough, the Ghost Train is indeed a “spooktacular” train ride for all ages over one mile of track. Rides being at 7 p.m. Eastern Time at the Tom Keenan Depot, located at 10561 NW Theo Jacobs Way in Veterans Park - about a half mile from the red light in Bristol on Hwy 12 South. Tickets info: Due to limited seating, steam train tickets are available online. The steam train ride will be available Saturday, Oct. 21 and 28 and is $12 per person. Non-steam train tickets are $8 per person and are available October 20, 21, 27, 28 and 31. Children 2 and under ride for free. Graceville Harvest Festival
GRACEVILLE - The 37th annual Graceville Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, October 21. This year's event will feature live entertainment, arts, crafts, activities for kids, food vendors, and one of the area's biggest car shows with more than 200 antique and classic cars on display. The fun kicks off with the official bike ride at 8 a.m. at the Graceville Civic Center, followed by on-stage entertainment at 9 a.m. and the Harvest Festival Parade in downtown Graceville at 10 a.m. Admission is free.
Trunk-or-Treat in Chipley
CHIPLEY - Chipley's annual "Trunk or Treat" event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, October 28, in Pal's Park. This community-sponsored event is open to children ages 12 and under and is intended to provide a safe alternative to traditional "trick-or-treating" activities. Wausau Trick-or-Treat and Haunted House
WAUSAU - Official "Trick-or-Treat" for the Town of Wausau will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 28, followed by the annual Haunted House, presented by the Wausau Fire Department. The haunted house is free to the community and will be held at the fire department, located at 2705 Jackson Street.
'Candy & Careers'
CHIPLEY - Florida Panhandle Technical College will host "Candy & Careers" from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 31. This free community event will feature games, prizes, and candy, as well as opportunities to visit the college's career programs. Returning this year to capture fun family moments will be Pensacola Photo Booth. FPTC is located at 757 Hoyt Street in Chipley.
Vernon High School Fall Festival
VERNON - Vernon High School will host a Fall Festival from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, at the school. All funds raised at the cakewalk booth will benefit Relay for Life. Donations of cakes or baked goods will be accepted. For more information, email Tracie Herbert at email@example.com
WAUSAU - The Town of Wausau will host "Trunk-or-Treat" from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, at the Possum Palace. Trunk-or-Treat is hosted by the Wausau Recreation Department.
GRACEVILLE - Graceville will host "Trunk-Or-Treat" from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, at the Graceville Civic Center.
Fall Festival at Unity Baptist
VERNON - Unity Baptist Church will hold a Fall Fest from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 4. There will be hayrides, food, games, and prizes. The church is located at 3274 River Road in Vernon. For more information, call 850-535-0487 or 850-535-4669.
