HOLMES AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES - Tri-County Community Council, in partnership with the Salvation Army, has announced dates for area families to sign-up for assistance with Christmas toys and food.

Toys are only for qualified families with children, while food will be given to everyone who signs up, regardless if they have children.

Holmes County sign-up will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, October 16 and 17, at the Holmes County Agricultural Center. Distribution will take place December 13, also at the Ag Center, with pick-up times assigned. The Holmes Ag Center is located at 1169 Highway 90 in Bonifay.

Washington County sign-up will take place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, October 18 and 19 at the Washington County Agricultural Center. Distribution will take place December 6, also at the Ag Center, with pick-up times assigned. The Washington Ag Center is located at 800 Highway 90 in Chipley.

Guardian must prove custody of any child, grandchild, or any other minors

Proof of all expenses in household


Rent receipt or mortgage payment
Electric and water bill
Gas bill
Home phone and/or cell bill
Car payment and insurance payment
Any other expense

Proof of all income in household


Recent pay stub
Child support
Retirement pension
Verification of Social Security amount
Any other income
