MILTON — The Holmes County Blue Pride Band will be among more than a dozen to perform at the 2nd annual Blackwater Classic Marching Band Festival this Saturday, Sept. 30, at Milton High School’s Haywood Hanna Panther Stadium.

The event will feature a total of 14 high school marching bands from Northwest Florida and Alabama. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. with performances beginning at 4 p.m. The event ends around 10:30 p.m.

General admission is $7 per person. Senior adults age 65 and older and active military personnel pay $5. Admission is free for children age 5 and under.

Baker High School — Baker
Escambia High School — Pensacola
Foley High School — Foley
Gulf Breeze High School — Gulf Breeze
Holmes County High School — Bonifay
Jay Jr./Sr. High School — Jay
J.R. Arnold High School — Panama City Beach
Milton High School — Milton
Navarre High School — Navarre
Northview High School — Century
Satsuma High School — Satsuma
South Walton High School — Santa Rosa Beach
Trinity Presbyterian School — Montgomery, Ala.

“Please join us for a day of pageantry and showmanship and to cheer for the more than 1,800 talented high school musicians who will perform their 2017 halftime shows,” a Milton High School spokesperson stated in a media release.

The Milton High School Band Parent Association will sell food and beverages at the concessions stands. Items will include shish-ka-bobs, hamburgers, hotdogs and soft drinks.

Milton High School is located at 5445 Stewart St. The stadium is located on the west side of the campus.
