ALL PUBLIC K-12 SCHOOLS, STATE COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES AND STATE OFFICES

Closed through Monday, all meetings and activities cancelled Additionally, Holmes and Washington County Schools will also be closed Tuesday, September 12.

BAPTIST COLLEGE OF FLORIDA

Baptist College of Florida will be closed both Monday and Tuesday, September 11-12.

CHIPOLA COLLEGE

Chipola College will be closed both Monday and Tuesday, September 11-12. The college is expected to open for regular classes and events, Wednesday, Sept. 13.

CITY OF CHIPLEY

The City of Chipley offices will be closed Monday, September 11.

Additionally, the following scheduled meetings have also been cancelled:

CITY OF BONIFAY

The City of Bonifay offices will be closed Monday, September 11.

CITY OF VERNON

The City of Vernon offices will be closed Monday, September 11. In case of an emergency, residents are asked to contact Vernon City Clerk Michelle Cook at 850-866-7210

COMMUNITY SOUTH CREDIT UNION

Community South Credit Union will be closed Monday, September 11. Operating hours for Tuesday, September 12, will be determined subject to conditions after the storm.

FLORIDA THERAPY SERVICES, INC.

The following offices are closed through Monday, September 11: Tallahassee clinic, located on Jaclif Ct; Panama City clinic, located on 23rd Street, and the Marianna clinic, located on Penn Avenue. Check for updates at flatherapy.com

FOURTEENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT OF FLORIDA

The Fourteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida, includes Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington Counties, will be closed Monday, September 11; however first appearances will proceed as scheduled throughout the circuit on the weekend and Monday. Court will resume Tuesday, September 12

GULF COAST STATE COLLEGE

In addition to the mandated Monday closure, Gulf Coast State College will also be closed Tuesday, September 12. There will be no classes, college services or activities at any of our campuses.

HOLMES COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES

All offices including Property Appraisers Office, Tax Collector’s Office, Supervisor of Elections Offices, and county courts will be closed.

In addition to the Monday closure, the following Holmes County Board of Commissioners sessions have been cancelled and will be rescheduled:

Monday, September 11 - Special session to discuss Local Option Gas Tax Distribution Monday, September 11 - Budget Hearing

LIFE MANAGEMENT CENTER

Life Management Center will be closed through Monday in preparation for Hurricane Irma. This includes all locations in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties. Emergency mental and behavioral health services are available by calling 850-522-4485 or 888-785-8750 (toll-free).

SOUTHEAST ALABAMA MEDICAL CENTER (SAMC)

All elective cases scheduled for Monday have been cancelled. All outpatient service locations will be also be closed on Monday.

TAYLOR CHIROPRACTIC

The offices of Taylor Chiropractic in Chipley will be closed Monday, September 11.

UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE

The U.S. Postal Service has suspended operations in all post offices, stations, branches, and finance units within all zip codes within the following three-digit ranges (and therefore all operations within Holmes and Washington Counties) until Tuesday, September 12:

320, 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, and 344. As conditions improve, USPS will provide additional information on restoration of service, including mail delivery and the reopening of post offices. Customer may call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-274-8777) for updates.

TOWN OF WAUSAU

The Town of Wausau offices will be closed Monday, September 11.

WASHINGTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT OFFICES

All offices including Property Appraisers Office, Tax Collector’s Office, Supervisor of Elections Offices, and county courts will be closed

WASHINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD

The Washington County School Board meeting scheduled for Monday, September 11, has been cancelled.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste Management is suspending all service in Bay, Jackson, and Washington Counties in Florida, as well as in Houston County, Alabama and the Spring Hill Regional Landfill for Monday, September 11. Weather permitting, service will resume Tuesday, September 12, with services moved back by one day. Therefore, Monday customers will be serviced Tuesday, Tuesday customers will be serviced Wednesday, and so forth.

WELLS FARGO BANKS
All Wells Fargo branches in Florida will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 12. Assessments will be made regarding branch conditions and team member availability before any decisions will be made about reopening branches. The safety of team members and customers remains Wells Fargo’s highest priority. Customers can continue to bank online via wellsfargo.com and the Wells Fargo smartphone and tablet apps, and over the phone at 1-800-TO-WELLS.

 

WEST FLORIDA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE

The West Florida Electric Cooperative (WFEC) district office will be closed for business and to non-essential personnel Monday, September 11. WFEC states the decision to close allows the co-op to prepare for power outages caused by Hurricane Irma as the storm passes through the area. Power will not be shut off to any WFEC prepaid customers on Monday. Those needing to conduct business such as making a payment or updating account information are directed to use the co-ops toll free number: 1-855-MYWFECA (1-855-699-3322).
