POPLAR SPRINGS – A stop by Holmes County Narcotics Investigators on September 5, led to an arrest for methamphetamine.

A silver Chevrolet Impala, driven by Derek Jones was stopped on Highway 2 in the Poplar Springs community. A check of Jones’ license revealed that it was not valid.

While conducting a search of the vehicle a blue zipper bag was located and found to contain a glass pipe with methamphetamine.

Jones was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid drivers license.
