HOLMES COUNTY - A man and woman are charged with resisting arrest after refusing to comply with a Holmes County deputy's attempt to pull them over for driving an ATV on a paved highway.

Investigators attempted to stop an ATV traveling east alongside the edge of the road on Highway 2 Friday. The female driver was later identified as Jasmine Haddock, and a male passenger was identified as Stacey Yeomans. Investigators attempted to initiate the stop utilizing lights and siren, but Haddock refused to stop and turned north, heading down a trail with investigators following in pursuit.

According to reports, Yeomans looked back at investigators several times before the pair would accelerate, eventually turning onto a path inaccessible to the patrol vehicles.

Investigators exited the patrol vehicle and was able to cut the four wheeler off while on foot. Haddock was taken into custody and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude and resisting with violence. Yeomans was arrested and charged with resisting without violence.
