Hopefully, Hurricane Irma won't impact the Florida Panhandle severely enough that residents will need to leave their homes, but if that does happen, local emergency management officials will give word on when and if local emergency shelters are activated. Please note that some shelters may not be utilized, so be sure to check back here for updates should the need for shelters arise. Here are facilities listed with Holmes and Washington County EOCs as emergency shelters:

New Hope Fire Station - for general population.
