CHIPLEY – Washington County Attorney Jeff Goodman attended his final meeting of the Board of County Commissioners August 24, where he said his goodbyes to the board and others.
Goodman, who has served in the position since 2010, was recently appointed to a judgeship in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit.
Goodman has served under four county administrators/managers during his tenure, and he thanked each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication to the county.
Speaking on each commissioner separately, Goodman spoke of the various relationships with each board member, stating he was "very blessed" to have worked with good men who he learned from in some way.
“I am so blessed to have worked with these men and women over the last seven years and to have learned from them,” said Goodman. “We may fight against each other in the board room but when we walk out, its as a county.”
Goodman also serves as attorney for Holmes County Board of County Commissioners, Washington and Holmes County School Boards, Wausau and Esto.
