HOLMES COUNTY – A traffic stop on August 12 leaves one man in jail for identity theft and other charges.
Florida Highway Patrol’s Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 in Holmes County for a moving violation, where troopers made contact with the driver.
The driver was identified by his Mexican Identification card as Juan Gaytan Flores, 30, of Houston, Texas.
Flores did not have a valid drivers license. A search of the vehicle revealed Flores to be in possession of two fraudulent Texas driver’s licenses and two fraudulent social security cards.
Flores was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with no license, and two felony charges of possession of fictitious driver’s license and identity theft.
