HOLMES COUNTY – A report of someone walking on the railing of a bridge on Highway 2 lands three in jail.

A Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a call on August 8 regarding a white male walking along the railing of the river bridge.

When the deputy arrived on scene, no one could be located. The deputy drove down to the landing and made contact with a silver Chevrolet truck attempting to leave the area.

The driver, identified as Jimmy Jimmerson, stated that he was the one walking on the bridge just for the thrill.

Three passengers in the vehicle were identified as, Harley Carter, Wesley Kynard and Tracy McSwain, all from Alabama. A check showed all three had active warrants.

A search of Carter found marijuana, a hypodermic needle and other drug paraphernalia.

All three subjects were arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail.
